Our Curriculum: Play-Based Learning with Real Academics
Language and Literacy
Children learn letter recognition, phonics, and early reading skills through stories, songs, and hands-on activities. By the time they leave our Pre-K program, they are reading simple words and writing their name.
Math
Our math curriculum covers counting, number recognition, basic addition and subtraction, shapes, patterns, sorting, and graphing. Children develop problem-solving skills through everyday activities and guided instruction.
Spanish
Every classroom includes Spanish instruction. Children learn colors, numbers, shapes, greetings, and simple phrases. Starting a second language early builds strong neural pathways and cultural awareness.
American Sign Language
We introduce ASL in our younger classrooms to support communication before verbal skills are fully developed. Children learn signs for common words and phrases, which reduces frustration and builds vocabulary.
Science
Children explore the natural world through hands-on experiments, weather observation, nature walks, and age-appropriate lessons about living things, the human body, and the environment.
Social Skills and Character
We teach kindness, respect, responsibility, honesty, and teamwork. These values are woven into daily interactions and guided by teachers who model positive behavior every day.
Technology in the Classroom
Each classroom has access to iPads loaded with educational apps. Technology use is supervised and age-appropriate, used as a supplement to hands-on learning rather than a replacement for it.
How Learning Builds Across Ages
One of the biggest advantages of staying at Kiddie Kare A'Kademie from toddlerhood through Pre-K is continuity. Each year builds on what came before. Teachers know your child's strengths and areas for growth, and the curriculum advances at the right pace. There are no gaps, no repeated lessons, and no lost time adjusting to a new environment.
